The 50th Anniversary Weak Signal's R/C Expo was a big success. I would like to thank each and every member of the Weak Signals for an outstanding job that was well done. There were many, many positive comments throughout the show. I would like to congratulate Bob Hisey and Rick Lederman. Dave Brown, the President of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, presented awards to Bob and Rick at the Awards Presentation Ceremony. Bob and Rick were both presented with an Academy of Model Aeronautics Fellowship award for all of their hard work in promoting the hobby of modeling through out their many years. This award is indeed well deserved. Congratulations to both of you. Not to be forgotten is all of the hard work that Wayne Yeager does for the Expo. Wayne is a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics Hall of Fame . We all owe a great debt of gratitude for their extreme efforts. Congratulations to all of you. Also at the Awards Ceremony, the Weak Signals R/C Club was presented an Award from the National Aeronautic Association. Dave Brown presented to President Dave Whitaker a Certificate of Recognition to the Weak Signals R/C Club for 50 years of service, both in volunteer work and monetary support to the aeromodeling community. Dave Whitaker accepted the award on behalf of all of the members of the Weak Signals Club. This is an award that all members can truly be proud of. Congratulations to the membership. During the Raffle segment of the awards, Dave Whitaker Raffle Committee Chairman, presented to Dave Brown and the Academy of Model Aeronautics , a check for the Scholarship Fund in the amount of $5,000.00. This is the largest donation to date and this brings our total of Scholarship donations to over $60,000.00. As President of the Weak Signals R/C Club, I would like to extend a special thanks to all of the Expo Committee Chairman. Thanks to Co-directors Wayne Yeager and Rick Lederman. Thanks to Committee Chairman Mike Bayes, Bill Comber, Tom Como , Brian Harris, Mel Holman, Dave Howard, Jim Skolmowski, Paul Trestan, Joe Vislay , and Dave Whitaker. A great deal of work goes on behind the scenes and before the show begins. All of these gentlemen work very hard and do a fine job. Thank you very much. All of our members worked very hard and also helped make this show a great success. Thanks to the members also. The next meeting will be on April 22nd at the American Legion Hall.
