I would like to thank the Banquet Committee (Brian Harris and his wife Chris, Jim Skolmowski and his wife Cheryl, and Wayne Yeager and his wife Karen) for a great Banquet. The raffle for the money kept people on the edge of their seats. At least until their name was called and they were eliminated. I think a great time was had by all that attended.

I would like to congratulate Ron Webb for his selection as Life Member of the Weak Signals R/C Club. Ron has definitely earned this honor. I have worked with Ron for many years. I have known Ron as a fellow modeler for many, many years. Ron is a very dedicated Weak Signal member. He is constantly helping the club in some manner. Again congratulations Ron Webb.

Dave Myers was awarded the Club Championship jacket and plaque at the banquet. Dave worked very hard this year to earn this honor. Dave also won 3 of the 4 individual category championships. Congratulations Dave.

The Monday night Sailplane League championship went to the team of Jim Skolmowski, Lee Hertzsch, Chris Skolmowski, and Rick Lane. Does anyone else think Jim Skolmowski stacked this team? I was just wondering.

I have noticed that the Club House now has the inside lined with plastic to keep the cold out. I want to thank Dan Mikolajczyk, Steve Guerrero, and John Root for getting this accomplished. If there were other helpers that I don’t know about I wish to thank them for their help also. We have a pretty good supply of wood at the field to keep everyone warm, so charge up those planes and keep flying.

Remember that there are several members that make it a tradition to fly an airplane on New Years Day. Make plans to join all the crazy people and come to the field on January 1, 2005 and put in your first flight of the New Year. Most people come out around 10:00 or so. See you there.

Also, I wish to remind the membership of the Art Slagle Memorial Snow Fli at the club field on February 19, 2005. It is a fun time. Come out and join in the fun.

At the last meeting, the board of directors appointed Stacy Lloyd as Safety Officer. Stacy may be looking for members to help him with various aspects of his job, so if Stacy asks for help, please offer to help. Stacy is very safety conscious and I think he will do a great job.

The AMA has been sending the new 2005 Licenses out and you should have received yours by now if you paid right away. Remember that you are required to show Brian Reasch your AMA card by December 31, 2004 or you will lose your membership in the Weak Signals R/C Club. Please help Brian do his job and show your card right away.

There is only one meeting in December on the 9 th. I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and I will take this opportunity to wish everyone Happy and Safe Holydays.

That’s all for now.

Dave Whitaker
