Don’t worry everyone the snow will melt….sometime. On Sunday January 30, we finally had a decent weather day. Several members took advantage of the good weather and got in some flights. Of course skis were the method of choice since the field is still snow covered. I would like to report that Dave Leach has decided to stick to flying sailplanes. If I let Dave fly my plane again, I am going to skis on the top of the airplane so he can make a good landing.

One last reminder, the Snow Fly is scheduled for February 19. Coffee at 9:00, pilots meeting at 9:30 and flying at 10:00. Come join the fun.

Remember that R/C Electric Indoor Flying is still taking place at the Saline Middle School Gym in Ann Arbor at 7265 Saline-Ann Arbor Rd. Flying is from 8 pm-10 pm. The flying will take place on Feb 11, 25 and Mar 4, 18. Cost is $5.00. If you have further questions contact Phil Smith.

Don’t forget to continue to maintain your equipment. Cycle your batteries, relube your engines. Touch up your aircraft, repair any monokote holes and check your linkages. Be prepared for spring, it is coming soon.

The last couple of meetings have had a smaller turn out then normal. I know the weather has been a little uncooperative. We still need your participation at meetings. It is also a very good time to catch up on what your friends are doing. It’s a good time to discuss your latest project. So I hope to see more members at our next meeting.

The 2005 EXPO is approaching. If you have recently joined the Weak Signals you will be contacted by an Expo Committee chairman to be assigned to work. If you think you would like to work on a certain committee, please feel free to ask that committee chairman if there is an opening on his work committee.
