Happy New Year everyone. Let’s make this a great year. On January 1, 2005, 20 members gathered for the customary first flight of the year. Everyone had their planes with their skis on all charged up and ready to go. The weather changed and the snow melted very quickly. The day started off very nice. The sun was out and the temperature about 40 degrees and the ground was clear and dry. So everyone switched and brought their planes with wheels. Some members brought electric powered aircraft also. Many flights were flown on this day. Dave Whitaker brought some hot dogs and chips and cheese ball for lunch and we had a nice fire warming things up in the club house. There were 20 members that had arrived by the time I left at 1:00. If you arrived after 1:00 p.m., I missed you and am sorry that I don’t have you on the list. The following members came out to the field on New Years Day. Joe Vislay On behalf of the membership, I offer our sympathies to the family of long time member Mel Meade. Mel's, daughter Annie died after a battle with cancer. Our thoughts are with Mel and his family. The first meeting of the New Year will be January 13, 2005. I would like to remind the members of the Art Slagle Memorial Snow Fly on February 19, 2005. That’s all for now Dave WhitakerFrequency Distribution Chart |
