There may be other committee chairmen that will be selected as needed.

This year will be the first year for permanently flying from the south side of the field. The relocated enclosed shelter is great and the open pilots shelter is another great addition to the field. Great job to the Field Committee and Dave Howard. With this new field lay out, new field rules are needed. A field Safety Committee has been formed and  Safety Officer Jim Skolmowski is the Chairman. Jim proposed several new field rules at a meeting last fall. The membership made a motion to accept those rules. Jim and his committee are reviewing those and all the field rules to insure rules for safe flying. Look for the new rules and necessary By-Law changes prior to the major start of the flying season.

The flying season will be here soon so will the contest. Get in touch with Scott Harter if you are interested in being a contest director

I plan to have a speaker at the activities meeting. If you would like to be the activity director or want to speak at a meeting please let me know. Some of the topics I would like to have on the agenda are jets, helicopters, batteries, electric motors, gas engines, radio maintenance, etc.  If you are willing to speak on these topics or any other topic let me know. At the January activity meeting Andrew Jesky gave a great talk on Precision Aerobatics. He spoke of balance, throws, thrust lines and proper airplane set up. For those that missed the meeting, you missed a lot.
