I would like to thank all of the members who voted for me for President. It will be an honor for me to serve a third year as president of the Weak Signal's R/C Club. I would like to thank the officers that have served with me this past year. Mike Bayes has done a great job, Bill Sommers has kept us financially on course. Brian Reash and Brian Harris keep all the statistics straight and providing insight and guidance as Trustees were Howard Reash and Jim Skolmowski. Mike Bayes, and Howard Reash are leaving office this year and I thank them for their service. The Officers for 2005 are Dave Whitaker, President, Ron Webb, Vice-President, Bill Sommers, Treasurer, Brian Reash, Membership Secretary, Brian Harris, Recording Secretary, and Trustees are Dave Leach and Jim Skolmowski. The last Fun Fly of the year was held September 26. We had a fairly good turn out. The weather was great. Ted Lang ran the contest in a very organized manner. Everyone had a good time. We had a great lunch and Ted's wife Jan made some great sloppy joes. However, the hit of the noon time lunch, were the pies made by Ted himself. Believe me, the Pecan pies were the best and the Lemon pie looked very good. Good job Ted. Our last contest of the season will be October 10. The contest will be Pylon. Remember that any plane that meets the square inch to engine size rule may be flown. This method has been very fair so far this year. Come out and give it a try. Remember that you have until our last contest, October 10 to make a qualification flight at our club field. If you have not flown in a contest this year, you are required to fly in front of 2 regular or life members or you will be placed on the Associate Member list. AMA License renewal is in progress. You are required to SHOW Brian Reash your 2005 AMA License by December 31, 2004 or risk losing you club membership. Do it right away. Don't wait till the last minute. All members are reminded to send in their reservations for our Annual Awards Banquet. The Banquet is being held at Central Park West on November 13, 2004 . You must contact Jim Skolmowski before October 22, 2004 to make your reservations. I understand there is going to be a great raffle this year. John Root is throwing a party. A work party that is. On October 23, 2004 there will be a work party at the field. There are a couple of dead trees that need to come down and they can provide some firewood for the winter. We will also need to stack more wood beside the club house for the winter. We need people with muscles, chain saws, rakes, brooms, shovels, and pick-ups and trailers. A lot of help is needed. Please come out and help. That’s all for now. Dave WhitakerFrequency Distribution Chart |
